Q. How do I register?
A. Registration is free. To sign up for Jimmy Dean’s personalized services, just follow the instructions for new users on the Registration page. During registration, you'll be asked to choose a Sign-in Name and a password. Your Sign-in Name can contain letters and/or numbers. Your password must be at least 8 digits long. You must be 13 years of age or older to register. After you've registered, you can use the same Sign-in Name and password at many Sara Lee brand sites
Q. What if I forgot my password?
You can get a new password. Visit the Registration page and click on the “Forgot Your Password” link. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to enter your e-mail address. The JimmyDean.com site will send an e-mail message to you with further instructions to get a new password. Make sure to provide the same information you gave during registration or when you last updated your account. Without the correct verification information, you will not be able to obtain a new password.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. If you would like to change your password, just sign in to your JimmyDean.com account with your current Sign-in Name and password and click the Account link at the top of the page. You will be asked to re-enter your current password for verification. Then:
- Click the "Change Password" link.
- Enter your current password in the first box.
- Enter your new password (as you would like it to be) in the second box.
- Confirm your new password in the third box.
- Click the "Save" button.
You can use your new password at any Sara Lee brand sites.
Note: For best protection, pick a password that is easy for you to remember and difficult for others to guess. Never use the same password that you have used in the past, and do not share your password with anyone. For security purposes, your new password must be at least 8 characters long. A good password contains a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters (remember that your password is case sensitive), and numbers.
Q. How do I change my e-mail address?
A. First, sign in to the jimmydean.com site. Then, go to the Account page. Select the "change e-mail address" link and follow the on-screen instructions. The system will send a confirmation email to you via the new email address.
Q. I can't sign in. Why?
A. If you’ve entered your correct Sign-in Name and password, your account may have been suspended by administrators for breaching the terms of use. You won't be able to use your account. You can try to contact the
site administrator to ask if the suspension can be lifted.
Q. What’s the difference between a comment and a testimonial?
A. For recipes, videos, and products you can post a comment at the jimmydean.com site. All comments are posted at the site, provided the comment meets the Terms and Conditions policy. Comments violating this policy will not be displayed. Comments are displayed on in the jimmydean.com web site. Some users prefer to tell Jimmy Dean directly about how they enjoy their favorite Jimmy Dean products – something we call a testimonial. Jimmy Dean may use your testimonial in the web site, a print ad, a TV ad, or a radio ad.
Q. My post didn’t appear immediately. Why?
A. The jimmydean.com site was designed so to screen all comments submitted. This ensure that the comments meet the Terms and Conditions policy – things like no fould language, porn, or similar undesirable content. The screening process may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days, depending on how busy the moderators are. If a moderator decides not to approve a post, the post will be deleted from the system.
Q. I have found a post that appears to violate the Terms and Conditions policy. How do I report it?
A. Click on the "Report Abuse" link next to the comment you wish to report. Please complete the form to tell us the reasons why you think this comment violates the Terms and Conditions policy. Once reported, the moderators will review your message and the suspect comment. A moderator can approve, censor, move or delete a comment.
Q. What bookmarks are available?
A. At the jimmydean.com site, you have your choice which bookmarks to use. You can use the bookmark capability within your web browser, or some of the major social bookmarking sites like
http://del.icio.us/ and
http://digg.com/. The social bookmarking sites provide an alternative for users who prefer to centrally store and share their bookmarks at a web site and not in a specific web browser. You can also add a jimmydean.com page to your My Yahoo page.
Q. How can I subscribe to an RSS feed for new product or recipe announcements?
A. RSS is a way for users to receive notifications of new content at the JimmyDean.com site without having to visit the site. RSS feeds are free. Visit the News & RSS page with your web browser. Click on the orange link for the feed you wish to subscribe to. Then follow the on-screen messages in your web browser. The JimmyDean.com RSS feeds are configured to the RSS 2.0 format. Updates are provided when available.
