PROTEIN @ BREAKFAST

At Jimmy Dean we believe a great day lies within everyone – especially our children. But hunger is a reality that prevents more than 17 million kids from being their best. Together with Share Our Strength Jimmy Dean has joined the No Kid Hungry Campaign to make a lasting impact by fighting hunger and promoting the benefits of breakfast. And, we need the support of nutrition leaders just like you to help us end childhood hunger in America by 2015.

How You Can Participate?

We’re challenging registered dietitians (RDs) around the country to participate in the No Kid Hungry RD Challenge (enter below!) and take the No Kid Hungry pledge to nourish the potential of kids everywhere. For each RD pledge received from September 2011 – February 2012, Jimmy Dean will make a donation* to No Kid Hungry, helping Share Our Strength connect one child in need with up to 10 meals.

But that’s not all! To help dietitians fight hunger in their own community, Jimmy Dean will award the state dietetic association with the highest percentage of RD pledges a $5,000 grant. This grant can be used to support local food trucks, educate families about how to develop a food budget or any other community-based initiative that will help eliminate childhood hunger at the local level.

*For every pledge taken, Jimmy Dean will donate $1 to Share Our Strength (up to $150,000) to help connect a child in need with up to ten meals. This amount is based on the individual experiences of Share Our Strength's grant recipients and is provided to illustrate how community investments can be used to help end childhood hunger. Each contribution made to Share Our Strength represents a contribution to its organizational mission. Donations will be used to reach the highest number of children facing hunger in America. Share Our Strength is a non-profit 501c3 organization. For more information, visit Strength.org.
