Jimmy Dean Bacon Almond Spread

Ingredients:

  1. 12 slices Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Premium Precooked Bacon, heated as directed on package and finely chopped
  2. 1-1/2 cups (12 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  3. 3/4 cup finely chopped pitted dates
  4. 6 tablespoons chopped parsley
  5. 3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
  6. 1/4 cup orange juice
  7. 1 cup sliced almonds
  8. crackers

Directions:

In large mixing bowl, combine bacon, cream cheese, dates, parsley and green onion. Stir well, adding orange juice gradually until well blended. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour or up to 2 days. Toast almonds: spread in a single layer on a baking sheet; bake at 350 F. for 5-7 minutes or until light golden brown. Stir almonds into cheese mixture just before serving. Serve with crackers.
