Jimmy Dean Quick Sausage Cheese Grits

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pkg. Regular Flavor Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained
  2. 8 cups water
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. 2 cups quick cooking grits (not instant)
  5. 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  6. 8 oz. (2 cups) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  7. paprika (optional)

Directions:

Heat water and salt to a boil in a 4-6 quart pot over medium-high heat. Slowly add grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; stir in garlic. Cover and simmer 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove grits from heat; stir in cooked sausage and cheese. Serve hot; garnish with paprika if desired.

Serving size:

about 12 cups
