Jimmy Dean Sausage Hash with Apples and Cinnamon Toast

APPLE SAUSAGE HASH

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup Jimmy Dean Regular Roll Sausage (browned, drained, and roughly chopped)
  2. 2 tablespoons yellow onions, diced small
  3. 1 teaspoon shallots, diced small
  4. 1 to 11/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  5. 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  6. 1/2 cup Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced medium
  7. 1/4 teaspoonn fresh thyme
  8. 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  9. 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions:

1. Warm olive oil in 8-inch skillet
2. Add shallots and onions, sauté until softened (2 minutes)
3. Add apple and sauté until softened (2–3 minutes)
4. Add sausage to pan
5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice onto mixture
6. Add fresh thyme
7. Add salt and pepper to taste
8. Serve with brown sugar cinnamon French toast

CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients:

  1. 2 slices Sara Lee Brown Sugar Cinnamon Bread
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1/2 cup milk
  4. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  5. 1 teaspoon sugar
  6. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  7. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  8. 1 tablespoon butter

Directions:

1. Beat egg in a medium bowl
2. Add remaining ingredients except bread
3. Dip bread into egg liquid until coated but not soggy
4. Heat butter in hot skillet
5. Transfer soaked bread to skillet and cook until golden brown—approximately
45 seconds to 1 minute on each side
